We're pleased to announce the return of Crazy Mountain Brewing Company! Join us Tuesday, September 19th for a laid-back, crowd-pleasing takeover of crazy ales and lagers featuring these unique, not quite true-to-style brews:
Hookiebobb IPA: A Colorado approach to the American take of an English classic, this IPA is brewed with three aggressive, yet floral American hops creating a beer that's bright, citrusy, and floral.
Old Soul Belgian-style Ale: A healthy amount of wheat gives this beer a very smooth mouthfeel accompanied by a fruity yeast character. Belgian candy contributes to a light body and complex flavor. European hops + Juniper berries to offer a soft, subtle spiciness.
Creedence Pilsner: This Pilsner is modeled after the classic bohemian Pilsners of Europe and uses high-quality Pilsner malt to lend the beer a nice delicate flavor and aroma. Classic Czech hops give a slightly spicy cedar nose with a light floral finish.
Horseshoes & Hand Grenades Extra Special Bitter: They say “close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades”, but this beer is a ringer. This special ale, popular with the locals and brewery staff, showcases a complex malt profile featuring 7 different types of malts and a unique hop character comprised of Chinook and Amarillo hops.
Lawyers, Guns & Money Barleywine: Brewed in celebration of Crazy Mountain's anniversary, this beer uses an assortment of crystal malts and a little molasses to give a hearty maltiness. Dry hopping with American Hops gives this English style a refreshing American twist.
We're so lucky to have welcomed Alton Brown to Public-- not once, but twice! He took the picture below of our potato chips! Of course, we would love to see him again but hope you will recommend some of your favorite locally owned establishments. Just comment and include the hashtag #ABRoadEatsWichita!
COFFEE Espresso To Go Go: I went to this fine coffee establishment twice (wanted to check out both locations). Why? Because one has a giant disco ball and the other a unicorn (with glowing eyes). On my first visit I decided to go big with a Sid Vicious: Seven shots of espresso mixed with five sugars...
